CAMERE D'ARTE

E’ un Museo dell’artista Gaetano Grillo, collocato ad Arena Po (Borgo d’Arte convenzionato con l’Accademia di Brera) a 45 km da Milano, 20 km da Pavia e 30 km da Piacenza, nel sorprendente ambiente dell’Oltrepò, a ridosso del grande fiume Po con il suo stupendo parco naturale.

La struttura è una dimora del 1.400, ristrutturata recentemente e concepita come museo monografico, il primo museo monografico in Italia inteso anche come struttura ricettiva, un luogo dove l’ospite scopre l’esclusività di una esperienza immersiva nell’arte.

Nel palazzo sono allestite sale espositive con oltre 50 opere dell’autore, di vari periodi della sua attività, dagli anni settanta sino alle opere più recenti, scandite secondo un percorso che si focalizza nelle due ampie suite collocate su due differenti piani.

Tutta la facciata ad est dell’edificio, in un caratteristico vicolo, è stata affrescata da Grillo con il tema “Cultura torna Natura”.

ART SUITES
Art Suites are a historical residence where guests can sleep in a museum filled with works of art created by the artist Gaetano Grillo. It is located in Arena Po, a Borgo d'Arte (Art Village) affiliated with the Brera Academy, just 45 km from Milan, 20 km from Pavia and 30 km from Piacenza, in the surprising Oltrepò area, on the great Po River and its stupendous natural park.
The structure is housed in a 15th-century mansion, recently renovated and conceived as a monographic museum, in which all the works of art are by Grillo. It is the first monographic museum in Italy which also functions as a hospitality facility, a place where guests discover the exclusivity of an
immersive experience in art.
The building houses exhibition rooms with more than 50 works by the artist
from various periods of his activity, with pieces dating back to the 1970s
and some of his most recent works. Most of the works of art are found in the
two large suites located on two different floors.
In a characteristic alley to the east of the building, the entire facade has
been frescoed by Grillo with the theme “Culture Returns to Nature.”

Camere d’Arte ospita due suite ciascuna di 70 mq. con ampio soggiorno, camera da letto e sala da bagno; arredate dallo stesso artista con interventi e oggetti di sua produzione; all’interno degli spazi l’artista racconta la sua storia anche con dettagli a sorpresa degli ospiti.

E’ presente un bookshop con sue ceramiche, monografie e pubblicazioni dal quale gli ospiti hanno accesso ad una terrazza-solarium panoramica sul Po.

Gli ospiti sono accolti dall’host Francesca Arneri, moglie dell’artista che proviene dal mondo della moda a Milano dove ha lavorato per brand di lusso. Le varie competenze apprese in questo ambito, tra le quali l'attenzione e la cura dei dettagli, sono traslati in questi luoghi e nel rapporto con l'ospite. E' lei che con la stessa cura prepara anche il breakfast nella grande sala adiacente.

Nei fatti si tratta di un Museo nel Museo in quanto inserito nel contesto del MAAAPO, Museo Arte Ambiente Arena Po, che si sviluppa tutt’intorno con opere di artisti contemporanei di fama internazionale.

Camere d’Arte un è progetto che implica il coinvolgimento dell’artista a tutto tondo, accompagnando gli ospiti in un percorso che comprende anche la possibilità di visitare il suo studio e di partecipare a dei corsi di ceramica artistica tenuti dallo stesso.

Art Suites houses two suites each measuring 70 sq. m. with a large living room, bedroom and bathroom. Each suite has been furnished by the artist himself with interventions and objects of his own making; inside the suites the artist also expresses himself through hidden details designed to surprise guests. There is a bookshop on the top floor where it is possible to purchase the artist’s ceramics, monographs and publications. Adjoining the bookshop is a terrace-solarium overlooking the Po, available for use by guests.
Guests are welcomed by the artist’s wife, host Francesca Arneri, who has a background in the Milan fashion world where she worked for luxury brands. She brings the various skills she learned in this field, including attention to and care for detail, to Art Suites and to her relationship with guests. She also prepares the breakfasts with the same level of care.
Art Suites is actually a museum within a museum because the small village of Arena Po is an open-air museum. The entire village is filled with sculptures and artworks by internationally renowned contemporary artists. The project is called MAAAPO, Museo Arte Ambiente Arena Po (the Arena Po Art and Environment Museum).
Art Suites is a project which fully involves the artist Gaetano Grillo, accompanying guests on a journey that also includes the opportunity to visit his studio and participate in artistic pottery classes taught by him.
